Ellie Peacock is the Deputy Director of the Science Academy at The Mountbatten School, where she oversees curriculum development and STEM engagement initiatives. She works closely with the science team to enhance educational outcomes for students, teaches science and computer science and collaborates with local schools to support curriculum delivery in STEM fields. She also organises large-scale events to promote STEM participation and serves as a Space Advocate for the UK Space Agency, delivering space masterclasses to inspire young learners.
During her tenure, Ellie has been recognised as a lead educator for the Institute of Physics, she completed the NPQ in Leading Learning in 2024, further solidifying her commitment to educational excellence.
Ellie previously held roles as Assistant Head of Science and Deputy Head of Year 11 at The Mountbatten School. Before transitioning to education, she worked as a scientist and healthcare scientist in Bournemouth and London, where she taught adults and delivered training to healthcare professionals on effective communication across London. As the lead for an Ogden Partnership involving nine schools, Ellie organises and delivers training, supports curriculum planning and spearheads efforts to improve physics education.
